Syllabus Structure
> PROFESSIONAL MASTERS IN SCIENCE TEACHING IN THE AMAZON
- CHAPTER VII - ABOUT THE DIDATIC-SCIENTIFIC REGIME
Section I - About the Academic Structure and Curricular Integration
Art. 36 - The Course comprises the following curricular components: compulsory and optional classes; research seminars; programmed activities, participation in Groups and Centers of Studies and Research; special and advanced topics and teaching internship.

Art. 37 - The Masters course is concluded by the students after the approval by an examining bank of an unpublished dissertation.

Art. 38 - The Masters degree course may be given in a modular manner, concentrated in certain periods of the year, including vacations and school breaks, or distributed over regular schooling periods.

Article 39 - The student must earn a minimum of 47 (forty seven) credits, being: 30 (thirty) obtained from 05 (five) compulsory subjects, in the amount of 06 (six) credits each; 08 (eight) obtained from optional classes, in the amount of 04 (four) credits each; 02 (two) obtained from a publication in a specialized periodical in the area; 02 (two) obtained from a complete work published in annals of events of the area; 04 (four) obtained from the teaching stage; one (01) obtained from a declaration of participation in the organization and execution of the Science Teaching Seminar in the Amazon-SECAM, issued by the Coordinator of the course.

Sole paragraph: Each credit corresponds to 15 hours of theoretical class or 30 hours of practical class or equivalent work.

Section I - About the Academic Structure and Curriculum Integration

Art. 36 - The Course comprises of the following curricular components: compulsory and optional subjects; scheduled activities; elaboration and development of the research; qualification, defense and approval of the dissertation.

Art. 37 - The Masters degree course will be taught in person, throughout the regular academic periods.

Art. 38 The student must earn a minimum of thirty-seven (37) credits, being: twelve (12) obtained in compulsory subjects of the Concentration Area; three (3) credits earned through a compulsory subject of the Research Topic to which it is linked; three (3) obtained in an optional class; two (2) credits from programmed activities, called production of specific knowledge and developed during the first semester of the course; four (4) credits in teaching experience; four (4) credits in bibliographic production (three credits with publication in Qualis B and / or A journals of Science and Mathematics Teaching Area and one credit with expanded abstract publication in annals of events of the Science and Math Teaching Education Area ); one (1) credit in technical production (corresponding to the actual participation in the Commission of the Seminar of Science Teaching in the Amazon, proved to and by the Coordination of the Masters Course in Science Education); eight (8) through elaboration and development of the research; qualification, defense and approval of the dissertation.

Art. 39 Optional classes may only be offered if there are regular students enrolled.
